Code of conduct
The Oklahoma Public Safety Conference is a professional gathering. Everyone attending, speaking, exhibiting, volunteering, or working the event is expected to treat others with respect.
What we expect
- Be courteous to fellow attendees, speakers, exhibitors, hotel staff, and volunteers.
- Respect the topics in the room. Sessions may discuss difficult calls; be mindful of colleagues who may be affected.
- Keep call details confidential. Do not share recordings, caller information, or identifying details from real incidents outside what a presenter has cleared for the session.
- Ask before photographing or recording a person or a session.
- Follow hotel rules and the law, and drink responsibly at social events.
What is not acceptable
Harassment, discrimination, threats, unwelcome physical contact, or disruptive behavior of any kind, in sessions, in the exhibit hall, at social events, or online.
If something happens
Tell any committee member or the registration desk, or send the committee a message. Reports are handled discreetly. The committee may take any action it considers appropriate, including asking a person to leave the conference without a refund.
In an emergency, call 911.
