Common questions

• What does my registration include?

  A full conference registration includes every session, the exhibit hall, meals, the awards banquet, and a conference T-shirt. A day pass covers the sessions and exhibit hall on the day you pick. A guest banquet ticket is for a guest who comes only to the banquet. When you register you tell us whether you will attend the banquet, so we order the right number of meals; you can change that answer later in the conference app.

• How do I get CE hours and my certificate?

  Check in to each session by scanning the QR code at the room door with the conference app. Your certificate counts the hours for every session you checked in to; it is emailed after the conference and stays in the app. You can check in to one session per time slot. Missed a scan? Tell the registration desk before you leave.

• What should I wear?

  Business casual. Meeting rooms can be cold, so bring a layer, and wear comfortable shoes for the exhibit hall. Typical Tulsa weather for the conference dates is highs around 76 F and lows around 57 F, with a chance of rain.

• Where do I park?

  The Marriott Tulsa Hotel Southern Hills has self-parking on site, and valet parking is also available; ask the hotel for the current valet rate at (918) 493-7000. The Hotel page has directions and drive times.

• How do I use the conference app and my badge QR code?

  The conference app is this website on your phone. Open the app, sign in with the email you registered with and the 6-digit code we send you, then add it to your home screen. It has the agenda, your schedule, your QR code, the Passport, and your CE certificate, and the agenda and your QR code keep working without a signal. Your QR code is on your badge and in the app: show it at check-in and at the banquet door, and exhibitors scan it to stamp your Passport.

• How do I ask for an accessibility accommodation or a special meal?

  Tell us when you register: the form asks about dietary and accessibility needs for each attendee. To add or change a request, send the committee a message from the Contact page. For an accessible hotel room, call the hotel directly at (918) 493-7000 before you book.

• Who do I contact with a question?

  Send the committee a message from the Contact page and someone will reply by email. At the conference, the registration desk can help with anything.

• When and where is the 2027 conference?

  October 10 to 13, 2027, at the Marriott Tulsa Hotel Southern Hills, 1902 East 71st Street, Tulsa, OK 74136. The Hotel page has directions, parking, drive times, and things to do nearby, and the agenda shows the schedule as sessions are added.

• How do I register, and how can my agency pay?

  Register on the Register page. You can register yourself or your whole team in one order. Pay by card at our secure checkout, or choose a purchase order or check and we send an invoice; a purchase order number prints on the invoice. Registration is not open yet: leave your email on the home page and we send one email the day it opens.

• Do APCO and NENA members pay less?

  Yes. Pick your membership on the registration form and enter your member number, and the member rate applies to your ticket. The conference is hosted by the Oklahoma chapters of APCO International and NENA, so if you have been meaning to join, this is a good time.

• My supervisor needs to approve this. Can you help?

  Yes. The approval letter builder writes the memo most agencies ask for, with the sessions, the registration cost, and travel costs filled in, including GSA meal, lodging, and mileage rates for Tulsa. No sign-in needed; print it or save it as a PDF for your supervisor.

• How do I get to the hotel?

  Flying: Tulsa International Airport (TUL) is about 15 miles away, usually 20 to 25 minutes by car; Uber and Lyft pick up on the Arrivals level across from baggage claim. Driving: the hotel is about two miles south of I-44 at Lewis Avenue. From Oklahoma City it is about 1 hour 40 minutes on the Turner Turnpike. The Hotel page has directions and more drive times.

• What is the Passport?

  The Passport is in the conference app. Visit the exhibit hall booths and have each exhibitor scan your badge QR code to stamp it. A completed Passport enters you in the prize drawing; winners must be present to win. The app shows which booths you still need to visit.

• Can I change my T-shirt size or banquet answer after I register?

  Yes. Open the app, sign in with the email you registered with, and change your T-shirt size or your banquet answer there. Shirt sizes are unisex, and sizes can be changed until the conference starts.
