For technical staff

Every call depends on the systems behind the console. This conference is for the people who keep them running, too: radio and LMR technicians, CAD and IT administrators, GIS analysts, network and cybersecurity staff, and the project leads moving their centers to NG911.

Why technical staff come

  • Sessions on the systems you support. The program includes a technology track alongside the operations tracks, so you can spend your day on infrastructure and still sit in on the sessions your dispatchers attend.
  • Engineers in the exhibit hall. Talk with the radio, CAD, 911 call handling, recording, and network vendors your center already uses, and with the ones you are evaluating. Bring the questions that never get answered on a support call.
  • Peers who run the same gear. Find the other centers on your radio system, your CAD, or your call handling equipment, and trade notes on upgrades, outages, and what actually worked.
  • Hours that count. Session attendance is recorded in the conference app for your certificate, which you can use for your agency's training records and, where it applies, NENA ENP recertification.

Topics we want on the program

These are the subjects technical staff ask for. If you work on them, propose a session for the technology track:

  • NG911: ESInet design, i3 call routing, policy routing, and the cutover experience
  • GIS for 911: data readiness, address and boundary validation, and keeping data current
  • Radio and LMR: P25 systems, console integration, interoperability, coverage, and in-building solutions
  • FirstNet and broadband: where LTE and push-to-talk fit alongside LMR
  • CAD and IT: CAD-to-CAD sharing, integrations, upgrades, and uptime
  • Cybersecurity: ransomware readiness, network segmentation, and incident response for the PSAP
  • Resilience: backup centers, diverse paths, power, and lessons from real outages
  • AI and new tools in the center, and how to evaluate them

Bring your team

The best results come when the technical staff and the floor learn side by side. Register your technical staff and your telecommunicators in one group order, and read the rest of why to attend, including a memo you can adapt to get approval.
